Our mission is to educate and open doors for well qualified students from a limited number of participating US colleges and universities through a relatively short, intensive period of study under the guidance of Oxford tutors to the same standard and in the same manner as matriculated Oxford undergraduates, while providing a high level of support and pastoral care.
Procedures and Eligibility
WE DO NOT accept individual applications. Applicants must apply through their home institution and should identify through their Study Abroad Office if an association with us exists or is in the process of being arranged. Students at a US college or university which does not at the present time have an affiliation with OPUS may apply to this program through other affiliated universities.
Institutions of post-secondary education, whether private or public, interested in arranging a program in Oxford through the auspices of OPUS should contact us.
Prospective applicants should be in their Junior Year and have a minimum GPA of 3.4 in their major and 3.2 overall. The major GPA score of most participants tends to be above 3.7. Additional criteria for admission include the submission of an example of a written piece of work by the student, a statement of purpose, and recommendations from two faculty members.
