Our mission is to educate and open doors for well qualified students from a limited number of participating US colleges and universities through a relatively short, intensive period of study under the guidance of Oxford tutors to the same standard and in the same manner as matriculated Oxford undergraduates, while providing a high level of support and pastoral care.
Orientation
OPUS conducts a four-day Orientation Program in the week preceding the start of term. During this period students are interviewed by their Academic Adviser, introduced to their tutors, committed to college regulations, meet British students, and begin the process of joining college teams and societies.
Orientation also includes practical information on housing, and living in Britain, and lectures on Oxford and its University, and on British society, politics, and etiquette.
Our Orientation sessions are comprehensive, thorough and highly regarded, and they are mandatory.
